Cassia is one of the many spices that traveled on the Silk Road and was known as “Chinese cinnamon.” With the many wonderful properties of cassia, it is perfect not only to use topically but also to use in a diffuser for the lovely, warm, and spicy aroma it gives off.

Cassia has been traditionally applied to relieve pain, arthritis, inflammation, swelling, joint discomfort, immune support and to improve blood circulation.

Description

Cassia was used to flavor many foods and for medicinal purposes in Asia. Like Cinnamomum zeylanicum (cinnamon bark), these two oils are often confused with each other or even used in place of each other for topical therapeutic blends or diffusion blends.

It is recommended to properly mix a carrier oil before topical applications. We recommend a dilution of no more than 0.05%. Patch test before use in case of sensitivity.
